The Port of Los Angeles, one of the biggest seaports in the United States, is located in Long Beach, and many people who live in Long Beach work at the port. The city is also famous because there is a big cruise ship called the Queen Mary there. Many people from all over the world come to Long Beach to see the Queen Mary. There is also a big university—California State University Long Beach. Many students from all over the world study at this university. Also, downtown there are many nightclubs, restaurants, clothing stores, and coffee shops. There are also many music and books stores, so if you want to go shopping, Long Beach is a good place. It is also an interesting city because it is very diverse. There are people from many different countries who live in Long Beach. In fact, Long Beach is home to the largest Cambodian community outside of Cambodia. For this reason, people call Long Beach the “International City”.
